WMI/RSoP errors on mtrootdc

Getting a constellation of errors on MTROOTDC,

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event ID: 1090
Description:
Windows couldn’t log the RSoP (Resultant Set of Policies) session status. An attempt to connect to WMI failed. No more RSoP logging will be done for this application of policy.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event ID: 1091

Description:
The Group Policy client-side extension Security failed to log RSOP (Resultant Set of Policy) data. Please look for any errors reported earlier by that extension.

and most recently

Event Type: Error
Event Source: WinMgmt
Event ID: 4
Description:
Failed to load MOF C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32WBEMSYSTEM.MOF while recovering repository file.

I found a site listing a procedure for rebuilding corrupted WMI repository.
